Abha is the capital city of the Asir Region in Saudi Arabia, located around 2,270 meters above sea level, in the southwestern part of the kingdom between the peaks of the Sarawat Mountains. Abha experiences a Subtropical Highland Climate, with an average temperature of around 20-24 °C. Due to being at high altitudes, spring is ideal for traveling to Abha, as the temperature is around 25 °C during spring, with a minimum of 20°C. Meanwhile, during winters, temperatures can drop to a low of 10°C, with a colder and semi-arid climate.
Abha International Airport, located around 16 km from the city center, is accessible via direct and connecting flights from various locations. To reach the city center, travelers can opt for taxis or airport shuttles, both taking approximately 20 minutes.

Abha doesn't have a vibrant nightlife due to the prohibition of alcohol in the city. Nevertheless, you still can enjoy its growing entertainment scene with numerous cafes, restaurants, cinemas, and international restaurants where you can have mocktails or authentic Arabic coffee.
You can find souvenir shops throughout different parts of Abha, but for the most authentic experience, try traditional souks. Souk Al-Khanajer offers daggers, swords, and handcrafted gold or silver items. For traditional clothing, trinkets, and jewelry, visit Souk Al-Nesa. Souk Al-Thulatha features spices, locally produced honey, dates, aromatic plants, and other food products.
