Taif experiences a Mediterranean climate, characterized by warm, dry summers and mild, wet winters. Temperatures are generally moderate throughout the year, with average highs ranging from 20°C in January to 32°C in July. The best time to visit Taif is during the spring or autumn when the weather is pleasant, and the city is less crowded.

How to Get There

Taif International Airport, located around  28 km from the city center, is accessible via direct and connecting flights from various locations in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. To reach the city center, travelers can opt for taxis or airport shuttles, both taking approximately 25 minutes.

While in Taif, you should try the traditional food of the region, like Mashawi (grilled meat), Kabsa (rice dish with meat or seafood), and Magluba (rice layered with vegetables and meat). Whether you seek local or international cuisine, Koshary Albashawat, Bohoo, Nile Gate Restaurant, Vitamin Palace, The Hat, and Queen Taste are among the most preferred options to dine in Taif.
