Transportation to Airport from Venice City Center

Venice Marco Polo Airport

You can reach the Marco Polo airport in 25-30 minutes directly by ACTV and ATVO buses departing from Rome Square. You can also get the trams departing from Santa Lucia Railway Station. You can go to Venice Marco Polo Airport only by taking the buses afterwards that transfer to the airport. Taking a taxi is another option.

Water taxi, vaporettos is a pleasant way to get to the airport directly by the canals, but it would take you a bit longer this way to get to the airport.

Airport Information

Marco Polo Airport is 7 kilometers from Venice and is one of Italy's busiest airports. The airport consists of a 3-storey building. Entrance floors are reserved for incoming passengers, while 1st floor is reserved for departing passengers and check-in procedures. There is a VIP Lounge and offices on the 2nd floor.

There are banks, cafés and restaurants, car rental offices, hotel reservation banks in the incoming passenger area. On the departing passenger area there are cafés and restaurants as well as stores where you can shop for books, clothes, accessories or souvenirs. If you failed to buy from the famous Murano glass art examples while in the city, you can also buy them at the airport. There is also a Duty Free store. On the top floor of the airport there is a smoking area, a terrace and a VIP Lounge.

Stuttgart Airport is located in the capital of the Germany state of Baden- Württemberg, about 13 km south of Stuttgart. The airport operates both international and domestic air travel. Stuttgart Airport is the 6th busiest airport in Germany.

There are a variety of transportation alternatives to get to the city center from the airport, which is located about 13 km away. If you want to travel by road you can get to the city by taxi, bus, or rental car. If you want to travel by rail you can get to the city by train or metro.

Taxi

The fastest transportation alternative to get to the city center from the airport is by taxi. Taxis are accessible every hour of the day, every day of the week. You can get to the city center comfortably and quickly by taxi. Stuttgart has an extensive taxi network, with over 700 vehicles in service. Therefore you won’t have any difficultly getting a cab after you land.

Bus

Another way to get to the city center from Stuttgart Airport is by bus. Buses are a very affordable option. Buses take about 20 minutes to get to the city center. The bus terminal at the airport is located on the ground level, by Terminal 4. Buses are readily available once you land, so you can be on your way to the city without waiting. Rail

Trains are another affordable transportation alternative to get to the city. There are two lines that run through the city. The train ride to the city is very enjoyable. Trains are easily accessible from the airport station, providing convenient transportation to the city. The metro is another affordable and fast means of transportation. The metro is accessible from Terminal 1 at the airport. The metro takes about 30 minutes to get to the city. Trains run every 10 minutes during the week and every 30 minutes over the weekend. Trains operate from 5 am to midnight.   

Rental Car

Renting a car is another way to get to the city. Rental car offices are located at Terminal 2 and Terminal 3. Renting a car is also a great option for getting around in the city during your trip. Rental car companies that you can choose from include Avis, Buchbinder, Enterprise, Europcar, Global Drive, Hertz and Sixt.
