Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport is Germany’s second largest airport after Stuttgart Airport. The airport is located 40 km from Karlsruhe city center. It takes between 35 and 60 minutes to get to the city from the airport, depending on what method of transportation you use. You can get to the city center by bus, train, taxi, or rental car.

Bus

Buses are one of the easiest ways to get to the city center from the airport. The bus network in Karlsruhe is well developed, conveniently connecting the city and its surroundings. Taxi

If you don’t want to take public transportation to get to the city center from the airport then you can take a taxi. Taxis are readily available at the terminal exit. It usually takes about 20 minutes to get to the city from the airport by cab. This can vary depending on the traffic conditions. A taxi to the city from the airport costs about 30 euros.

Car

Another transportation alternative to get to the city is by car. You can rent a car at the airport. Rental car companies that you can choose from include Enterprise, Buchbinder, and Avis Autovermietung. You can get to the city center by car via the A5 motorway and B36 expressway.
