Transportation to Airport from Bangkok City Center

Don Mueang Intl. Airport

Thailand’s capital Bangkok is one of the most important tourist destinations in the Asian continent. The city, which hosted over 25 million tourists last year, has 2 airports. The Suvarnabhumi International Airport opened for international travel in 2006. The city’s first airport, Don Mueang International Airport, is a regional commuter flight hub and low-cost airline hub.

Suvarnabhumi International Airport handles the largest amount of international passengers entering the city, handling over 53 million passengers in 2012. Bangkok is a city with a population of 8 million. Like other South Asian countries, transportation within the city can be chaotic. However, transportation to and from the airport is extremely advanced and comfortable.

Rail

You can take buses 201 and 503 from the Royal Palace, National Museum, and Phara Nakhon, the historic city center, to Phaya Thai Station. From this station you can get to the airport in 17 minutes.

You can also get on the express line at Makkasan Station. Other lines take about 30 minutes to get to the airport.

Airport Services

There are vehicles that depart from Victory Monument, which is one of the busiest transportation hubs in the city, to the airport every 20 minutes. You can get to the airport using luxury minibuses or buses where you need to connect or transfer in between. Minibuses 550 and 551 will take you directly to the airport. The city of Bangkok experiences extremely hot temperatures and these vehicles were designed taking that fact into consideration. These vehicles are all air-conditioned, providing comfortable transportation for tourists.

From the historic city center (Phara Nakhon) take the Nakhon Sawan or Lan Luang bridges and connect to the Sirat Expressway, which has a toll. From here you need to take Motorway 7, which connects directly to the airport. After reaching the airport you can park your vehicle in one of the three parking lots, which have a total car park capacity of 5 thousand vehicles.

Kurumoch Intl. Airport

Samara is founded on area where rivers Volga and Samara meet. The vast majority of the population is formed by the Tatars in the city. Taxi

Taxis waiting for passengers 24 hours at the airport only accept cash payments. Depending on the situation of the traffic, the city center can be reached by taxi after a journey of 45 minutes to an hour.

Minibus

Minibuses that take fewer passengers but faster are popular in Samara. The minibus number 392 operates between 06:15 and 21:00 and departs about every 10 minutes. In minibuses, the fee is paid in cash.

Bus

There are two different bus lines at Kurumoch Airport. In order to use special buses with stops in the terminal building, you need to buy tickets from the terminals. Buses that start service at 07:15 depart in short intervals and frequently. You can go to the city center with these buses until 21:45. The bus stop of the municipal buses is 200 meters away from the terminal building. The buses that operate hourly in the early hours of the day and in the evening are departing every two hours at noon.

Car Rental

At Kurumoch Airport, four renowned car rental companies meet the demands of passengers. You can rent a vehicle at discounted prices by contacting the companies in the terminal building or by making a reservation from their internet sites.
