Airport Transfer

Public Transport

It will be possible to reach the airport with the subway lines passing through Zamalek, Wasat Al-Balad and the Nile's eastern region, which we refer to as the center of Cairo, in a few years, but you can only reach the areas close by at the moment. Al Dock, Opera, Sedat (Tahrir) and Naguib are the metro stations close to the center.

You need to transfer to the Green Line at Attaba station from Yellow Line, which hosts the above mentioned stations.

Even if it does not reach the airport yet, you can get off at the Abbasiye station and complete the 15 kilometers distance by taxi or bus number 111. It is also possible to reach the airport by buses 27, 111, 356 from Tahrir Square where Sedat metro station is located.

Private Vehicle

Although it is a great merit to use private vehicles in Cairo, which is similar to Istanbul with regards to its traffic and size, there may be people who want to reach the airport by private vehicles. To do this, you have to follow the Oroba road, in the east direction, to go to the airport from Zamalek island and Tahrir in the city center.

Oroba route will take you to Airport Road, which will provide you with access to the airport, after 17 kilometers.

Airport Information

The airport, in the Heliopolis area, is the second airport in Africa with regards to passenger traffic. With the completion of the newly constructed terminals, there are also many possibilities offered for those waiting for their flight.

Japanese, Chinese and Korean restaurants representing the Asian lifestyle, world famous fast-food restaurants, coffee shops where you can drink the most famous coffees of the world and pizzerias are waiting for guests at Terminal 1. You can also access health services at the airport, which has a large duty free store.

Transportation to Drama, situated in the northeast of Greece, is usually provided through Kavala International Airport, which is the closest international airport to the city. The journey to the city center of Drama, which is about 50 kilometers away from the airport, takes about one hour.

The car rental option, which provides direct transportation from Kavala Airport to Drama, is one of the most comfortable and most preferred alternatives. If you want to travel by a more economical option, you should firstly get to Kavala city center, where you can take a bus to Drama from the bus station. You can also take the advantage of the private shuttle services to travel from Kavala International Airport to Drama. Since the distance is not very long, it is also an affordable alternative to get to Drama from Kavala by private shuttle services.

At Kavala Airport, you can easily find a taxi at the exit of the terminal building 24 hours a day and you can get to Drama by taking advantage of the taxis. Taxi fares may be a little costly for this journey because of the 50-kilometer distance between the airport and Drama city center. Taxis usually take passengers to Drama for 100 Euros. If you are traveling with a few people, you can reduce the cost of taxi journey by sharing the taxi fare.

Bus

You can take a taxi from the airport to get to the bus station in Kavala city center, where you can benefit from bus transfer option. It takes about 50 minutes to go Drama from Kavala by bus. After arriving at Drama bus station, you need to take a taxi again to reach the place you want to go in Drama.

Another option is to rent a car after arriving at Drama city center. So you will also have the opportunity to reach different areas around the city by your car.
