Airport Transfer

Al Dock, Opera, Sedat (Tahrir) and Naguib are the metro stations close to the center.

You need to transfer to the Green Line at Attaba station from Yellow Line, which hosts the above mentioned stations.

Even if it does not reach the airport yet, you can get off at the Abbasiye station and complete the 15 kilometers distance by taxi or bus number 111. It is also possible to reach the airport by buses 27, 111, 356 from Tahrir Square where Sedat metro station is located.

Private Vehicle

Although it is a great merit to use private vehicles in Cairo, which is similar to Istanbul with regards to its traffic and size, there may be people who want to reach the airport by private vehicles. To do this, you have to follow the Oroba road, in the east direction, to go to the airport from Zamalek island and Tahrir in the city center.

Oroba route will take you to Airport Road, which will provide you with access to the airport, after 17 kilometers.

If you want to drive to Edinburgh from the airport it takes about 2 hours, if you want to drive to Glasgow or Manchester it takes about 3 hours, and if you want to drive to Darlington it takes about 1 hour.

Taxi

Taxis are a convenient way to get to the city center from the airport and they operate 24 hours a day. You can pay the taxi fare by credit card or cash. Train

Newcastle Airport isn’t directly served by rail. To access the train network you can take the metro, which is accessible directly from the terminal, to the Central Train Station and transfer from there.
