Airport Transfer

Public Transport

It will be possible to reach the airport with the subway lines passing through Zamalek, Wasat Al-Balad and the Nile's eastern region, which we refer to as the center of Cairo, in a few years, but you can only reach the areas close by at the moment. Al Dock, Opera, Sedat (Tahrir) and Naguib are the metro stations close to the center.

You need to transfer to the Green Line at Attaba station from Yellow Line, which hosts the above mentioned stations.

Even if it does not reach the airport yet, you can get off at the Abbasiye station and complete the 15 kilometers distance by taxi or bus number 111. It is also possible to reach the airport by buses 27, 111, 356 from Tahrir Square where Sedat metro station is located.

Private Vehicle

Although it is a great merit to use private vehicles in Cairo, which is similar to Istanbul with regards to its traffic and size, there may be people who want to reach the airport by private vehicles. To do this, you have to follow the Oroba road, in the east direction, to go to the airport from Zamalek island and Tahrir in the city center.

Oroba route will take you to Airport Road, which will provide you with access to the airport, after 17 kilometers.

Airport Information

The airport, in the Heliopolis area, is the second airport in Africa with regards to passenger traffic. With the completion of the newly constructed terminals, there are also many possibilities offered for those waiting for their flight.

Wellington buses depart from the airport every 10 minutes between 06:30 am - 09:00 am and 02:00 pm - 07:00 pm on weekdays, and every 20 minutes at other hours.

Lower Hutt buses depart from Wellington Airport every 20 minutes during the day and they drive the front of the Queensgate Mall in Lower Hutt.

You can also take bus with the number 2 to travel to places like Karori, Seatoun Wellington and Hataitai.

The buses, which move from Wellington Airport to the city center and other nearby settlements, include digital displays that you can see convenient luggage areas, details about the route, and watch the news and weather. You can follow the bus stops by listening to the announcements made on the bus, and you can easily understand when you reach your landing point.

Taxi

When you go out of the ground floor at the Wellington Airport, you can easily notice the taxis outside of the terminal. Bicycle

If you want to come to the city center from the airport by using your bike, you should follow the State Highway route. The distance between the airport and the center is 6 kilometers, and this distance takes about 30 minutes by using a bicycle. There are bicycle rental parking spaces on the ground floor for passengers at Wellington Airport, which is a bicycle-friendly airport. If this is your choice, you must lock your bike to the parking area using a quality lock. It is also useful to not leave your bike parked for too long to prevent any damage. For this reason, you can use a quality lock and take the detachable parts of your bicycle when you enter the airport.

Motorcycle 

There is no dedicated parking space for motorbikes in Wellington Airport, but you can leave your motorcycle in the car park if you want. Motor parking fees are the same as the fees for cars. There is generally no traffic problem in the city, but you still have the chance to come to the airport a little faster by a motorcycle when compared to a car.

Ridesharing

It is possible to come from the airport to the city center with ridesharing applications such as UBER and Zoomy. Moreover, these options are not very expensive and quite comfortable.
