Taxi

The taxis of Addu Atoll have plates with yellow numbers. The transportation to the airport by taxi takes about 26 minutes from Hithadhoo Island, 15 minutes from Maradhoo Island, 7 minutes from Feydhoo Island and only 4 minutes from the city center of Gan Island. If you wish, your hotel can call a taxi for you.

Car Rental

It is very easy to reach the airport by renting a car. You can get to the airport from both Gan Island city center and other islands by following the Link Road.

Airport Information

Gan International Airport, which was built during the Second World War and offered service as a military airport for a long time, was used for domestic flights for many years but renewed in order to keep up with the rapidly growing tourism and gained the status of modern international airport.

These cafes offer service for 24 hours. Bus

There is an express route between the city of Colombo and the airport, which can only be used by buses. Thanks to this special road, bus number 187-E3 can reach the city center in half an hour. In order to take the buses in front of the terminal building you need to buy tickets in advance.
