Car Rental

You should drive on the highway N5 and take the Jinnah Terminal Road in order to reach the airport. Bus / Minibus

It is possible to reach the airport in approximately one hour by getting on an airport bus in the city center. One-way ticket price of these buses is 50 Pakistani Rupee per passenger. There are also minibuses carrying passengers to the airport from the city center. These vehicles are cheaper but tourists may be charged higher amounts. In addition, minibuses are very crowded. For these reasons, buses are more preferred by foreign visitors.

Taxi

Travelling to the airport from the city center lasts about half an hour. You should bargain over the fare before getting on any taxi. The cost of travelling to the airport from the city center is about 300 – 500 Pakistani Rupee.

Airport Information

Quaid–E–Azam International Airport, which is known as Jinnah International Airport shortly, is located 14 km east of the city center. There are foreign exchange office, ATMs and baggage rooms at the airport. In addition, there are restaurants and cafes where you can try local tastes as well as the delicacies from the world cuisine. You can do shopping at the stores where you can find various products specific to Pakistan like carpet and rugs. There is also a duty-free shop at the airport. Over 15 million visitors pass through the only airport of Athens, Elefterios Venizelos International Airport. It’s possible to reach Athens centre, located 20 km away from the airport by metro, train, taxi, rental car, and bus. 

Bus

Elefterios Venizelos International Airport is one of the airports with the most convenient methods of reaching the city centre. You can reach the central locations of Sintagma Square, Athena Academy, and Agios Fanourious by taking the X95 from the bus stops located in front of the airport administration building. The journey to the city centre should take around an hour. Once you are at the 16th stop, Evangelismos Hospital, you can take either walk, or take the 732 bus for three stops, to reach Sintagma Square.

You can also reach various areas in Athens from the airport by taking buses 54, 608, 622, 732, and 815.

Train – Metro

There’s been a recent switch in Athens from Greek to Latin alphabet for station names, however the Latin alphabet is not yet used everywhere. The M3 line goes all the way to Sintagma from the airport. Sintagma is the 15th stop.
