You can consider renting a car, especially if you are planning to visit the surrounding villages and towns or cities. You can rent your car at the airport after your plane has landed or from the car rental companies located in the city center.

Taxi

Taking a taxi is the most practical way to get to Tangier city center from Ibn Batouta Airport and taxis also provide a budget friendly transportation service. Before you get in one of these taxis from the taxi ranks, we recommend you tell them where you are wanting to go and make a deal with them first. Although they may not accept barganing, the maximum they will charge is 100 dirhams to travel to Tangier city center. The taxi journey between Ibn Batouta Airport and Tangier city center takes on average 10 minutes.

Since there is no public transportation such as buses that can take you directly to Tangier from the airport, renting a car can be more economical.
