Minibuses with less capacity than buses can be crowded during heavy traffic hours.

Taxi

The roads throughout Bahrain are asphalt and well maintained. At the same time, oil is so cheap that it offers a great advantage in terms of car rental companies. Because tourists who visit the country prefer not to waste their time on underdeveloped public transport, and prefer to widen their choices, they rent a car. Because of this, there are many offices of international and local car rental companies both in the city and at the airport.

The city center can be reached quite quickly from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. Buses and taxis are the most common means of transport but shuttle services can also be preferred due to their comfort. If you love luxury then there are plenty of limousine rental agencies to choose from. You can also rent a car and just use this as your main method of getting from place to place for your entire trip. Taxi

You can get to the city center in just 15 minutes from the airport by taxi. The lowest fare you can expect is $ 13.10. They can accept a maximum of 4 people and all of them accept card payments.

Shuttle Service

Once you’ve passed the baggage belt no. 1 in the baggage claim area then you’ll see the SuperShuttle table, which is where you can get tickets to make use of the airport shuttle service. The shuttle service vehicles are extremely comfortable and the prices are similar to taxi fares.

Bus

You can reach the city directly by taking one of the Capital Metro ‘Airport Downtown’ buses leaving from the terminal exit. You can spot these pretty easily as they are blue with big yellow writing on both sides. The bus reaches the city center in less than 30 minutes and departs every half an hour. The price for a one-way ticket is only $ 1.75. You should pay with exact change. Another alternative for using the bus is to get a passcard. There are convenient spaces in the bus for your luggage.
