There are many transportations methods available to get from the city center to the airport. No matter where you are in New York City you have access to the metro. Airport Information

You can access the hotels using the shuttles that depart from this station. The 6 passenger terminals at the airport all offer a wide variety of eating and drinking venues. Dunkin’ Donuts, McDonalds, Euro Cafe, Starbucks, New York Hotdog, Eat & Go Istanbul, Wendy’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Subway are only a few of them.

If you want to go shopping your options are endless. There are many Duty Free shops like International Shops Duty Free, DFS Duty Free, and Duty Free Americas. You can also find many brand name stores like L’Occataine, Pandora, Swatch, Hudson, Victoria Secret, M&M’s Store, Best Buy, Guess, Hermes, Mont Blanc, and BVLGARI. Lounge services belonging to various airlines, like British Airways, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Emirates, KLM, and Air France are scattered throughout all the terminals.

Terminal 1 and Terminal 4 have the most lounge services. The airport contains a total of 22 lounges. You can connect to the internet at the airport for a fee. There are daily or monthly unlimited plans or you can also connect by paying an hourly usage fee.

From Penn Station, one of the city’s major stations located in central Manhattan, you can get to Newark Liberty Airport Station in about 30 minutes by taking the NJ Transit train or the Amtrak train. From this station you need to get on the AirTrain trains, which depart every 3 minutes and get to the airport terminals in about 10 minutes.

The Newark Airport Express service is another transportation alternative to get to the airport. These buses depart from Bryant Park, Grand Central Terminal, and Port Authority Bus Terminal and the total time to get to Newark Liberty Airport is about 60 minutes. Taxi, car rental, hotel shuttle and shuttle bus are among the alternatives offering the fastest transportation to the city center. If you prefer travelling by bus, it can take longer to arrive the city center. You should decide whether you want a comfortable and fast transportation or a budget-friendly transportation. Then, you can take the road to the city center.

Taxi

The cost of travelling to the city center from the airport by taxi is 27-29 dollars. If you are travelling as a crowded group and have much luggage, you can demand a larger taxi. There are taxi stands at the exit of the both terminals. The travel to the city center from the airport by taxi lasts about 20 minutes.

Ride-Sharing

You can easily get a ride by downloading Uber, Lyft or GetMe applications on your smart phone and get to the city center at a budget-friendly cost. Keep in mind that the prices can vary according to the company and hour. These vehicles pick passengers up from B-19 and B-20 points at the end of the Terminal B.

Car Rental

There are 9 car rental companies offering service at the airport. In the baggage claim area of the Terminal A, there are free phones that you can use to get in contact with the car rental companies. With the vehicle you rent, you can reach the city center in less than 20 minutes by following the directions. There are also 18 limousine rental companies for those who prefer travelling to the city center in a more comfortable way.

Shuttle

The Super Shuttle company offers private shuttle service from the airport to the main points of the city center and the hotels. This service is the most expensive transportation method that you can use to travel from San Antonio International Airport to the city center and other parts of the city if you are traveling with more than 2 people.

Travelling to the city center from the airport by private shuttle costs 19 dollars per person. If you are going to a place outside the city center and this is not a hotel, the cost can increase to 29 dollars. For this reason, if you plan to go to Riwer Walk or the bus station, it would be more cost-effective to give the name of a nearby hotel.

Bus

It is possible to reach the city center by getting on the bus route 5. The travel lasts about 35 minutes under normal traffic conditions. One-way ticket price is 1,30 dollars. The bus route starts operating at 05:00 am and offers service until 10:00 pm. Bus is among the most preferred transportation alternatives since many hotels in the city center are within walking distance to the bus stop.

Another important point to take into consideration is that the bus changes its number as 30 when it reaches the borders of the city center but passengers getting on the bus at the airport don’t have to pay any transfer fee. Shuttle Services

This service is the most expensive way to travel from San Antonia International Airport to the city center and other parts of the city if you are travelling as 2 or more people.

It costs 19$ per person to go to the city center with shuttle service. If you want to go to a point outside the city center and if this is not a hotel, the fee goes up to 29 dollars. Therefore, if you are planning to go to the River Walk or the bus station, it would be more cost-effective for you to give the name of a hotel nearby.

Bus

It is possible to reach the city center by taking the bus number 5. The bus departs every 30 minutes and reaches the city center in 35 minutes under normal traffic conditions. The one-way ticket price for adults only costs 1.30$. The bus service starts at 5 o’clock in the morning and continue until 10 o’clock in the night. Many hotels in the city center are just within walking distance from the bus stop; so, bus is one of the most commonly preferred means of transportation.

One important thing to keep in mind is that the bus number changes from 5 to 30 when it enters the city center; the airport passengers do not have to pay an extra transfer fare. In addition, you can also get a daily ticket for 2.75$ if you need to board the bus again for the rest of the day.

Hotel Shuttle Services

The hotels around the airport offer free of charge shuttle services for their guests and you can benefit from this service by informing your request in advance. However, the hotels in the city center do not offer such a service. Still, they can arrange a shuttle service for you at the airport upon your arrival if you request in advance.
