Mitiga International Airport is located 8 kilometers outside the Tripoli city center, Libya. Every year many domestic and international flights depart from Mitiga Internation Airpor to several cities such as Istanbul, Beirut, Sfax, and Amman. While transferring from Mitiga International Airport to the city center, especially for foreign tourists, taxis are the safest option. You can request a taxi from your hotel located in the city center and reach the airport faster and much safer. When you arrive at the airport you can pay your fare in cash. If you stay somewhere else than the city center, you can call and negotiate the pricing of your ride in advance.
