About Amos
Amos, which is located on the banks of the Harricana River, is a small settlement in the west of Quebec province of Canada. In 1990, settlers began to show interest to Amos which is one of the first settlements of the Abitibi region and the foundations of today’s Amos were laid. In Amos, one of the smallest settlements of Canada, climate conditions are cold throughout the year.
The historical buildings in Amos, which has a calmer life compared to the nearby settlements, are today used as government offices generally. In Amos, which is generally preferred by those who come to the winter sports centers in the immediate surroundings due to the cold weather, you can travel around the lake or do shopping in small shops.
