You can get to the city center by bus or taxi from Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. If you want to rent a car in order to get to the city center, you can follow two different ways both of which are very easy. Taxi

There is also a taxi-stand in front of both terminals. The taxi fare in order to go to Anchorage city center costs between 17-22 dollars. The ride takes about 15 to 20 minutes under normal traffic conditions.

You need to connect to L Street or O’Malley routes through Minnesota W Int. Airport road. Both routes lead you to the city center in no more than 16 minutes under normal conditions.

Bus

If you prefer public transport, you can reach the city center in half an hour from the airport by getting on the bus number 7. The ticket price is 2$. The bus departs every 30 minutes from 6 am to 11 pm every day.

Hotel Shuttle Service

Some of the hotels and motels in Anchorage offer free airport shuttle service for their guests. In order to benefit from this shuttle service provided through luxury minivans, you should make your reservations by contacting with your hotel or motel in advance.

You can reach the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport from the city in a very short time with a taxi. You can reduce the cost of travelling from downtown Anchorage to the airport and vice versa by using the bus. If you opted for a car rental, you can drop-off your hired vehicle at the airport. Airport Information

Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport is located 5 miles from the city centre. Even though there aren’t any hotels attached to the terminal buildings, they are situated within proximity to the airport.
