About Bajawa
Located in the Flores mountain region of Indonesia, Bajawa city is 1100 meters high. The city is colder than other seaside regions, thus you may need a cardigan at night. You should not listen to the guides who inform you when you enter the city; as they ask for an exorbitant price and have not received any training. The traditional village houses around the city are the places you need to see. As you travel around these village houses, the locals will accept that you take a photo of them upon request. There are also traditional fights. This is done for demonstration purposes and starts with the gathering of village people.
It is very difficult to get a result from these fights which have no rules; it can take a long time to watch them. You can also visit the waterfalls and pools in the city, as well as try the climbing to the crater in Wawo Muda. Some of the dining places you can visit in the city are Dito's, Lucas Restaurant and Rumah Makan Anugerah.
