About Banfora
Banfora is the largest city and capital of the Cascades District in Burkina Faso. Situated in the south-west region of the country, this city is estimated to have a population of approximately 110,000 people. This city, which is an important center on the railroad between Abidjan and Ouagadougou, has an economy which revolves primarily around sugar cane production. The city is also an important market town, and features numerous small hotels that house tourists coming to see the nearby Cascades de Karfigué, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the region. Some of the other thiings you can do in the city are see Les Pics de Sindou and Les Canscades de Banfora. The city has a small airport for direct flights and is rainer in the summer than in the winter.
