About Barranco Minas
Barranco Minas is a city and municipality in the Guainia Department of Republic of Colombia. It is a city neighbored by Mapiripana Cumaribo Vichada in the north, Inirida and Morichal Nuevo in the south. Main economic activities in Guainia are fishing and hunting. Barranco Minas is the most important city of the region in this sense. In addition, parks and lakes in the area are among the favorite places. Puinawai National Reserve is one of the places to be seen. Covering an area of 10925 kilometers, this park is Colombia's second largest national park.
There is Matevení Lake, which has a great potential for tourism, for water sports and fishing. Pavon and Payara are also among the lakes for water sports. The Guainia River rises to the rainforests in eastern Colombian, and forms a part of the Colombia-Venezuela border.
