About East London
East London is a city in the province of Eastern Cape of South Africa and located in the southeast of the country. The city between the Buffalo and Nahoon rivers pouring into the Indian Ocean is the only river port of South Africa and lies partially by the Indian Ocean.
The city is mostly known for its gold-like sandy beaches surrounded with warm ocean water. You can watch the whale migration and swim with sharks in this water, which is suitable for activities such as fishing and surfing as well as scuba-diving. The most popular beaches of the city are Port Elizabeth, Orient, Eastern, Nahoon and Gonubie beaches, which are blue flagged. East London is one of the central cities of the African safaris. From Mpongo Private Game reserve and the most special safari parks of Inkwenkwezi Eastern Cape, which is 33 kilometers far from the reserve, and famous African Cinque to ocean tides, you can have many natural views at these spots.
