Hamamatsu, which is located in the middle of Tokyo and Osaka, is the second biggest city of Shizuoka Prefecture. In Hamamatsu Flower Park, which is a wonderful botanical garden located on the edge of Lake Hamana with its breathtaking beauty, there are approximately 100,000 plants and 3,000 species of rose, tulip and cherry blossom. You can give a break in a cafe or restaurant located in this park after your travel. The Municipal Zoo located on the edge of the lake is home to 400 animals of 120 species. You can spend enjoyable time with your family at the zoo.  

If you want to travel to the music world, you can visit Hamamatsu Museum of Musical Instruments. The museum exhibits the best musical instruments from all over the world. In the museum, there are about 1200 varieties of instruments. In the museum, whose first floor is dedicated to the instruments in Japan and Asia, various instruments from many parts of the world like South America, Africa and Europe are exhibited. In the museum, you can listen to music and even play some instruments. Gosha Shrine comes to the forefront with its view among many temples in Hamamatsu. The temple is the home of the gods of land and parenting. You should definitely see many treasures like Shinto Pavilion, handmade stones and the magnificent Unateri-nomitama monument. Nakatajima Sand Dunes are one of the three largest sand dunes of Japan. This place covering an area of 4 kilometers from east to west is frequently visited by both local and foreign tourists. You can analyze the shapes drawn by the wind, ride a bike and have a nice time in the nature. Kanzanji Temple, which belongs to the Soto sect, offers a different spiritual atmosphere for its visitors. In Kanzanji Onsen, you can experience the healing baths. In Hamamatsu, which is under the influence of the temperate climate, winters are calm while summers are hot, humid and rainy. The best period to visit the city, which is affected by the monsoon rains, is the spring and autumn months.
