The town Mykonos which has the same name as the island, is Greece's most famous island in the Aegean Sea and has been a favorite destination of world tourism since the 1960s. With a Mediterrranean climate, the 17th century Panagia Paraportiani Church is one of the most beautiful examples of Cycladic architecture, located on the hills of the town and is the most famous architectural structure you can see in the town.
