Chubu Centrair Airport is an airport offering service in Nagoya city of Japan. The airport, which is located 35 km south of the city center, is situated on an artificial island. Taxi

Bus

To travel from Chubu Centrair Airport to the city center by bus, you need to reach the bus terminal on the first floor of Access Plaza. The buses are starting to operate at 8 am. There is no bus service after 10 pm. The last stop of buses departing from the airport is the Meitetsu Railway Station in the city center.

Train

Trains are a quick alternative to get to the city center. However, there are two different train services at the airport. Sky Limited Express offers a faster journey, while Rapid Limited Express reaches Nagoya after a longer ride. Before you get on these trains, you must buy tickets from the booths. Rapid Limited Express is slower, but it is more economical. The departure point of the trains is indicated by the signs at the terminal building.

Shuttle

Those who do not want to travel by bus or train, and crowded groups that do not fit in a single cab, can easily go to the city center or to different parts of the city with shuttles. Shuttles can take up to nine passengers. The shuttles operate 24 hours a day, but you have to pay 20% more while travelling between 10 pm and 5 am. Car Rental

At the airport there are five car rental companies (Toyota, Nippon, Times, Orix, Nissan). You can reserve cars from the internet. The car rental companies meet the demands of passengers on the second floor of the Access Plaza, opposite the terminal building.

Buses, trains and taxis as well as rental cars can be used to get to the airport from Nagoya city center.

Taxi

Almost all of the taxi drivers working in Nagoya speak English. The taxi ride to the airport takes around 45 to 60 minutes. When taxis arrive at the airport, the passengers have to get off on the first floor of the terminal building.

Bus

Buses departing from Meitetsu Bus Terminal reach the airport between 48 - 85 minutes depending on weather and traffic conditions. The first bus from Nagoya to the airport is departing at 5 am, while the last bus departs at 7 pm.

Train

Trains owned by SKY Limited Express and Rapid Limited Express carry passengers between 05:24 am and 23:31 am to the airport. SKY Limited Express' trains arrive at the airport in 28 minutes, while Rapid Limited Express trains arrive in 33 minutes. You can catch the trains in the city center departing every 15 minutes.

Car Rental

It's easy to rent a car in Nagoya. Many car rental companies keep their doors open24 hours a day. However, renting a car in Nagoya is risky.
