About Suwalki
In Suwalki, at the crossroads of Belarus, Russia, Lithuania and Poland, a population of 70 thousand lives. The population in the city is composed Polish, Lithuanians, and Russians. While the old monasteries, ruins, and monuments around the city attract tourists who are curious, Wigry Natural Park and Suwałki Landscape Park are inundated with nature lovers. The Suwalki Blues Festival, which the blues lovers have launched in the city in 2008, continues to be held regularly every year. Not only Europe’s, but also the world's most famous blues musicians participate in the festival, as well as open-air concerts and important clubs in the city are filled with blues lovers. Suwalki was also declared the "capital of blues" in Europe because of the festivals organized.
