Transportation to Yerevan City Center from Airport

Yerevan Airport, which is also officially known as Zvartnos Airport, is located 12 kilometers west of Yerevan. In addition to the short distance, it is very easy and cheap to get to the city center from the airport. You can choose from various options such as bus, metro, marshrutka, taxi, airport transfer services and rental car services in order to reach the city from Zvartnots Airport.

Bus

In Yerevan, buses and the minibuses called marshrutka run as coordinated with each other. Therefore, it is possible to transfer to buses and minibuses to reach a certain point in the city.

The buses in Yerevan are modern, fast and quite economical for transportation. It is possible to reach every point of the city by bus because there are a lot of routes. It takes about 20-25 minutes to go to the city center and also to many points in the city from Zvartnots Airport by bus. When you leave the airport, turn right and move towards Stepanakert park area; there you will see the bus stops. Many bus lines (with different numbers) leave from this area. Yerevan metro has a total of 10 stops with a single line of 13.4-km length.

The metro serves between 6:30 am and 11 pm every day of the week and it is connected to the main bus station and the railway station as well. The busiest metro station is the Hanrapetutyan Hraparak station next to Republic Square, which is the center of Yerevan. Yeritasardakan, which is very close to the Opera House that is another central point, and Zoraver Andranik opposite the cathedral are also another practical metro stations.
