It is possible to get to the Volgograd International Airport by taxi easily from the city center. If you have rented a car for your sightseeing, you can deliver your car at the airport. You can see several car rental companies in the city center. You can reach Volgograd International Airport in 25-30 minutes on average by driving in the northwest direction with the car you rented via Aviatorov Street and following the airport signs.

Volgograd International Airport, located 15 kilometers northwest of the city center of Volgograd, was constructed in 1997 instead of an old airport named Gumrak Airport which belonged to the army.

In the city, road transport is provided by buses and taxis. Yemelyanovo Airport is the only public transport bus used to reach the city center. Thanks to the taxis, access to the city center is easy when buses are not available.

Bus
You can travel by bus number 635, which belongs to Kras-Bus Managing company, and departs from Terminal 1 at the airport. The journey starting at the airport ends at the intercity bus terminal in the center.
