Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, built in 1937 and serving international flights since 1992, is located about 9 kilometers north of the city center. The airport serves both Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar regions.

Shuttles are a good option since they are cheaper than taxis and run more frequently than buses.
