About Andes
Located in Western Colombia, the city Andes, lays at the foot of the Andes or Andean Mountains. The city gets its name from the mountain ranges nearby. The temperature in the city is averaged to be around 22 degrees celsius year round. However, it’s important to note that during some periods, the city receives heavy rainfall.
Andes is known as the birthplace of modern-day philosopher, journalist and writer, Gonzalo Arango. Individuals of Colombian descent who have pursued expertise in various areas and are known worldwide for their success, have all lived in Andes at some point in their life.
The economy if the city is almost entirely based on agriculture. The primary agricultural product is coffee. High quality coffee beans and delicious coffee drinks are also produced all throughout the county, as is in Andes. The city recommends visitors to consume the delicious coffee as well as coffee drinks during their stay, as long as they are in good health. It is important to note that the primary product visitors pack in their suitcases upon return is coffee.
There are beautiful hiking trails to follow that take you through nature. It is also easy to travel around the city on foot. The most beautiful building in Andes, is the magnificent church in the middle of the city, which is a must-see for all visitors. In addition, the city square adorned with sculptures and pools is always lively and vibrant.

Andes Airport
Andes Airport is located in the northwest of Colombia. It is very easy to travel to the city center from the airport which has gained a significant number of passengers in the recent years.
Ridesharing
With this system commonly used by the visitors, you can get on another person’s car for a certain fee while travelling from the airport to the city center. This type of transportation which can be used by the visitors travelling on the same route reduces the travel cost per person.

Taxi
You can quickly reach your destination thanks to the taxis that you can get on from the bus stand located outside the Andes Airport. Taxi fares vary between 25-40 dollars.

You can reach the city center in about 25 minutes by getting on a blue-line bus from the terminal located at the airport. You can comfortably reach the city center from the airport thanks to the reservation that you will make online or ticket that you will buy from one of the bus companies.
Hotel Shuttle
You can get detailed information about hotel shuttles by calling your hotel before your travel or by listing the accommodation centers offering shuttle service while making a reservation. Generally, hotels provide transportation to the airport optionally.
