About Apiay
Apiay is a small town in the Meta District of Colombia, connected to the city of Villavicencio. Apiay is connected to further away places via Captain Luis F. Gomez Nino Airfield. Buses are used in urban transportation. Bicycling and motorcycles are widely used transportation means among the public.
Apiay has a humid and warm tropical climate. The temperature is measured around 28-30 degrees Celsius throughout a year. Very heavy rainfall and storms can be seen from April to the end of November. The best time to visit the city is January and February.
Apiay is a green city with many accommodation centers, restaurants, cafés and bars. The town of Villavicencio is only 12 kilometers away, so you can go and visit this city and have fun. You should absolutely try and buy the local Colombian coffees in the city where coffee is produced. This region is also a favorite place for ecotourism lovers.
